Bihar Pushes for ₹33,900 Crore Infrastructure Boost

Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary has requested Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for early CCEA approval for four critical highway and expressway projects worth over ₹33,900 crore. Covering around 330 km, the infrastructure push includes the Patna–Purnia greenfield expressway (NH-09), six-lane elevated corridors in Patna, and a new bridge over the Gandak River on NH-727AA. Fast-tracking was also sought for the Gorakhpur–Siliguri and Raxaul–Haldia expressways, along with the widening of the Muzaffarpur–Barauni NH-122 stretch to strengthen regional trade and travel.
